Gabčíkovo-Nagymaros Barrage System

Part of the sidebranch system of the Danube section downstream of Vienna nowdays is a National Park (Nationalpark Dunauen). Landscape restoration works done on that area could represent a good exemple for the Szigetköz rehabilitation not only in a sense of solutions but the Danube river countinuity as well. Before starting the Szigetköz rehabilitation study (see below), we orginised a site visit on that area in 2005 from which a video was produced.
