PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

March 2004 – March 2010: Head of the Office of the Gabcíkovo-Nagymaros Inter-departmental Commission located in the Ministry of Environment and Water of the Republic of Hungary. Responsible for the operation of the Office including bilateral governmental negotiations concerning the dispute of the Gabčíkovo – Nagymaros Project. Secretary of the Commission, member of the Hungarian Governmental delegation and head of several international working groups.

January 2002 – February 2004: Consultant for the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Hungary on environmental and nature conservation issues relevant to, and included in the Gabčíkovo – Nagymaros Project.

 March 1996 – February 2004: Founder, owner and director of the company ‘EKO’21 Consulting’.

 October, 1994 – December 2002: Consultant for the International Law Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hungarian Republic on science, technical and environment issues. As a senior science co-ordinator, responsible for the co-ordination of the science issues of the case concerning the Gabčíkovo – Nagymaros Project (Hungary vs. Slovakia) before the International Court of Justice at The Hague.

1991 – 1995: Project Director of research concerning national aerial survey of large mammals in Hungary.

 August 1996 – February 1997: Secretary of the Biological Section of the Hungarian Academy of Science

 October 1, 1991 – December 31, 1994: Associate General Director at the Zoological and Botanical Garden of the City of Budapest. Responsible for strategic planning, international relations, sponsorship, public relations and for the operation of two departments.

April 1, 1990 – September 30, 1991: Research Secretary at the Budapest Zoo. Responsible for the establishment of a new research network for the Institute.

1988‑1990: Research and Development Director at an agricultural company. Responsible for innovation activities regarding the natural recycling of some agricultural by-products.

1980: Scholarship at the “Institute National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA), Jouy‑en‑Josas, France for 4 months.

 1978‑1988: Research Scientist at the Zoological Department, University of Agricultural Sciences, Gödöllő. The main scientific interest being the population ecology of wildlife species. Leader of many research projects on the ecology and physiology of different wildlife species and lecturer in ecology, and population ecology.
